Wood DamageResolved

Is this termite frass or sawdust under the baseboard?

Question

The material looks dry and grainy, and it returns in the same spot after vacuuming. I do not see live insects, but there are a few tiny openings near the trim.

Pest Or Not answer

A recurring dry, grainy pile from the same trim area is more concerning than ordinary sawdust. Photograph the material, the exact opening, and any nearby wood damage before cleaning again. Drywood termite frass, carpenter ant debris, and powderpost beetle dust look different enough that close photos are useful for deciding whether an inspection is needed.
