Droppings & EvidenceResolved

Mouse droppings appeared in my car after it sat for a week

Question

I found about a dozen dark pellets, a torn snack wrapper, and a few paper fibers under the seat. I have not seen an animal. The car was parked near tall grass for seven days. What should I inspect before cleaning and driving it again?

Pest Or Not answer

Pointed pellets, damaged food packaging, and paper fibers make rodent activity plausible, but inspect wiring, the cabin filter area, engine bay edges, and seat tracks before deciding the extent. Do not vacuum dry waste. Photograph it, wet-disinfect a small deposit, and have damaged wiring or a large hidden nest assessed before driving.
